Cooking for a friend

My wife's co-teacher broke her shoulder, so having trouble cooking.  I'm cooking an 8 lb butt which we will pull and take over along with my wife's cheesy potatoes, cole slaw, and some home made rolls.  There are 5 of them including 3 teenage boys, I figure there are at least two meals here.

As long as I am firing up the egg, I should do one for myself - right?  So I have two on the grill doing a "semi-turbo. I gave them an hour at 225, then opened up to about 300 grate (dome says 400).  Apple and pear wood for smoke.  Planning to pull and FTC around 4:00.

Looking good brother. I cooked for a friend yesterday. Started at 5:00am and did not finish until 9:00pm. Looks like you were using your head and put some meat on for yourself but dumb me did not! Good luck brother let us know how it turns out.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

Well played! Make a batch of pulls pork for a friend last week. Called and told me it was the best they've ever had... I think I ended up feeling better than they did after a compliment like that

I pulled these off at 4:10, then into the cooler - had to run out to a church function from 5 to 7.  Came home and pulled and packaged.  Sadly, 12 lbs of fresh pulled pork that won't be eaten until tomorrow (except for the heavy sampling while it was being pulled).  Deelish.  I hope the injured family likes it as well as your friend did @Hapster!image
