Can you recommend a good pocket camera? Not wanting to be a photographer but i would like to be able to take decent pics. I wanting some thing real easy to carry around. I ask because you seem to be the photo guru. Thanks in advance.

I'm not hap, but his pocket camera when he's not carrying his gear and wants better than his iPhone is this:

It's the Sony RX100 and is one of the best rated compact cameras there is.

Not going to try and speak for Hap but I'm pretty sure that 50% or more of what he posts is from his Iphone. I know he does have a more elaborate camera that he does use a lot but lately it's been mostly Iphone.

I think it might be more ideal to get a iPhone 5s,  Galaxy S4/5, or Note 3.

Easy to use and take great pics for mobile devices.  That pic in your test pic thread was done with my Note 3.

LOL... Just about everything I post here is taken with the iPhone5s. For a compact with great image quality and really good video, I use and would recommend the Sony RX100. For my more involved shoots I use my Sony A700, debating about upgrading to the A77 since there are some really good deals right now or waiting for the next generation.

What ever you get, just shoot a lot and you'll develop your eye. And if you want to take more interesting pictures, stand in front of more interesting subjects - not my quote LOL

Yeah, you won't find a more user friendly camera interface.  Takes great pics for a camera phone.
