Anyone tried something similar on the Egg before?  I really like the Pioneer Women's recipes.  Simple yet very good.

My wife and I DVR Ree every week.  We did the Spicy Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork back about a year ago.  It was awesome, although the wife found it to be too spicy for her.  We have done a few other recipes with the chipotle peppers, just cut down the number we use so that the wife will eat it.

I may have to try the ribs now.  I do have 1/2 a cow in freezer #3.

Ree is pretty awesome.  We DVR her as well.  I follow her on Facebook.  She is very interactive with her fans too.

Those sound really good.  If I were going to adapt this to the egg, I think I would just make the sauce and glaze them at the end, or perhaps use a 3-1-1 method.  I think if you were to marinate them in the sauce it might burn if you had it on the egg uncovered for a long period of time.

Thanks for the point to her site... I have to give that Dr Pepper Pulled Pork a try, either on the egg or in the stove. I am actually leaning more towards the stove, since it's cooked with the top on, it probably doesn't pick up much smoke

Dutch oven in the egg without the top?  Or do it like Peppered Beef Stout?  Crap, now I have thoughts for the weekend...  Spatchcock on Friday, Ree on Saturday...

True, but I think the liquid would cook off too much and have to be replaced a few times Plus, with it in the oven, it frees up the egg for cooking something else during that span

I have a few friends coming over Satruday and I want to cook something.  I may do a butt with that sauce.  Have a few sauce choices with meat instead of the whole shooting match.
