Do you inject the night before or just before putting the brisket on?

Most here don't inject at all. I tried it once and I injected just before putting it on. It came out OK, not great.

I don't like to inject unless just cooking the point,  If I do I will inject a saline-spice or oil and spice and let sit over night.  If you have vinegar in the injection or fruit juices, I do it about an hour before I cook.  The acidic injections, such as vinegar and fruit juice, will start to pickle the meat and give it an odd texture.

To each their own, but I personally never have and don't see the need for injecting brisket.  Plenty of natural flavor combined with whatever rub/seasoning and plenty of natural fat to come out with a tender piece of meat.

Canadian briskets have a lot less fat and marbling than US ones do. I inject demi-glace with butter on the front end and the same thing with some rub just after it comes out of the plateau.

Ok - I'm convinced - no injection.  It's going on at 10 tomorrow morning.

We use Butcher's Prime injection on our briskets.

We inject night before, place in fridge or cooler horizontal meat side up.

I inject just prior to putting on the egg, make sure if you're going to do so it is room temp and not cold.  My very best brisket came out after a simple injection of beef broth with a little W-sauce.  If you want to check out my brisket video go to my youtube channel.  Good luck!
