Egg is sweating crud

I've seen a number of posts on this, with a couple that were way, way more disgusting.  Thanks to those posts, I know not to worry about it.  Hadn't used the Egg in a week, with a lot of rain during that time.  Also a lot of 'sweating' on the base. This happened after cooking a couple of steaks.  After the steaks, i opened the vents and burned off the lump.  When cooled, I wiped the crud off with a wet paper towel.  We'll see what happens tonight when I grill the Christmas Eve shrimp.

Mine did the same yesterday, except it was solid black.

Sounds like creosote. Time for a clean burn.

That usually happens  when moisture gets into the Egg  as the Egg gets hot the moisture some what evaporates thru the ceramic and it appears as if the Egg is sweating depending on how dirty the inside of your Egg his it can sweat black
