What size upper grate do I need for a medium while using the swing grate?

If using a PS or anything raising the grid, a small sized grid(12"). If on the fire ring, about the same size as the medium grid.

mark a piece of string from top of dome to top of extender stem, cut out a cardboard disc, suspend it with the string in the middle through the dome opening and raise it to the height of the extender, kind of trial and error?

13 or 14 in is perfect.

Use the small BGE grid. The 14" Weber does not fit if the BGE grid is at the felt line. The small is tight, if you can get a 12", even better.

I got a 14.5 webber and it fits perfect without the ps. It almost fits with the ps. I think a 13 would fit perfect.

I was a turkey cooking machine for a few weeks ending a week ago.  Thanksgiving madness and the company party passed.  Then Bridget discovered Costco had turkey for $0.49/lb.  I'm eating smoked turkey salad right now.
