Heads up, you can't open some bags with that trick.......depends on the bag closer machine.

The funny video with the lady using the scissors was probably sewn with a portable lock stitch machine like I have in the picture below.  It uses a single string and will have a "chain" hanging off the end of the bag.  I just have this one at the house to mend bags or make bags full of Styrofoam for photo shoots......as you can see by the crooked stitching, I'm not very good with it.

If it went through a automatic bag closer that uses tape and two stings, then you can do the trick by pulling the locking string on the back.  These will have knots on the ends and a lot of stitching on the back.  Just about any bag of charcoal you will buy went through a machine like this.

Rockwood bags are insanely easy to open with the string-pull trick. I literally have to find the single string and pull, then the tape lifts right off.

The first bag of Ozark Oak I opened I just blew on the string and it flew out into the trash can.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

@henapple. Whatever dude. How many times did I ask you about coming to DC? I would have kissed your ass AND paid you. What a win-win!

The sad part is, my strings are still on the garage floor.
