Bought one from Costco yesterday and haven't used it yet. I was reading about them and there seemed to be several size containers available. This just had one. I do a lot of South Asian and east Asian stuff that require making pastes out of pods, seeds, leaves, and bark etc. I want to get a couple of smaller bowls for these cooks. Any ideas where?

Looking at them and also vitamix's for a while for a gift. Check youtube "will it blend". Did it come with wildside or fourside cont. think your looking for the twister cont.
Are they on sale?
http://www.williamsfoodequipment.ca/ or there is a guy on kijji in burlington selling them cheaper.

The latest costco coupon book I saw yesterday had the blentecs on sale next month and I think it came with several canisters the price was $369.
-
I think it was $349. at Costco. I think regular Cdn list is $469. It is a four sided carafe

Sale ad from Costco is the coupon book they mail out every month. Mine came today. Like Travis said sometimes BBandB is cheaper with a 20% off coupon. Both have awesome return policies.Every day is a bonus day and every meal is a banquet in Winter Springs, Fl !

Yes the coupon book comes in the mail once a month. I will look at it when I go home and see exactly what the deal was.
-
Thanks Lit. I have a company card and I don't really see anything come in that way but I'll check with the girls.

I have a vitamix.......was worth every penny.

I've read the comparisons and Vitamix seems to come in on top but they are more expansive here. I've always wanted a robot coupe but can't go there

Where are you shopping?????? Costco has had them for under $400. I think $379? The one with the extras is $499.
Not saying that's cheap, but they're far from a grand.
-
I wouldn't get the $375 one from Costco. They had a guy there with a newer model that had preset programs so we took the $375 one back and got the newer one. Much easier to use and about half as loud. Think it was $525.
-
+1 on the vitamix from bed bath and beyond using the 20% off. Also if you have a discover card you can trade in rewards dollars for BB&B gift cards. I think 40 rewards for a $50 gift card. I had to come out of pocket $15 for ours as I forgot to account for sales tax. We just recently got the dry mix container and I have been using it to make fresh cracked pepper for rubs. The thing is well worth the money and the seven year warenty.

Costco has stuff cheaper but our prices are higher than yours.

Of all places, last year we bought our Vitamix at WS because with a promotion coupon that came with their newsletter, it was cheaper than Costco! Couldn't be happier, wish we bought one 30 years ago!Garycanuckland

WS? Drawing a blank here Gary. Vitamix is more expensive than Blendtec no?

Williams Sonoma! Yes Vitamix is more expensive, but price is coming down since they introduced the newer model with shorter/wider containers. I saw a even better Vitamix deal very recently (can't remember where) where the older model (same as mine) comes with an extra container. I'll search and look out for you.p.s. see my new post regarding Foodsaver rolls, even cheaper than the noname rolls I got from that warehouse in Mississauga.Garycanuckland

@stlcharcoalI was referring to the Robot Coupe. They are the industry standard. I have used one once and will never be satisfied by anything else.

Blendtec is 5 + yrs old runs Like the day we bought it.
Here is the regular and twister jar.twister is smaller and can spin the top while blending . heard the wider normal jar is better at mixing than the standard.
Pastes sounds like u need a mortar and pestel or food processor IMO. Blenders perform bestwwith liquids, or oil in the twister jar for almond butter as an example.Seattle, WA -
That looks identical to the one I bought. I want the extra carafes though.

The Costco deal is $369 and comes with the wild side jar and the twister jar.
-
That's US and next month right? Probably be $429 here but still better than buying the other jar. Thanks bud! Apparently we do get the notices but nobody shows them to me.
