Today I bought my first Yeti 65
I've heard a lot of good things about them. Anyone got any good stories?

I have a tan 65 and love it.

One of the best coolers known to man I have a 45, and a 105, both tan in color. My next purchase will be a 20.

The king of coolers. When only the best will do. Congrats!

Good job on getting the tan one, the white ones get nasty looking fast if you use it a lot. I take mine every weekend with me if its to the race track or the lake.During the summer I usually get home late Sunday night from racing or lake, I empty the contents and keep the ice in it. Come Thursday I go out and get it and its still pretty cold, drain the water put new ice in and load it up with my goodies.Ice lasts all weekend and then repeat cycle.Last year I poured hot water into it got it nice and toasty, put two 10lb pulled parks in at noon, drove later that day two hours away and served around 7pm. Nice and hot.Nuclear war happens, Twinkies, cockroaches, and Yetis will still be left standing.

I have a 20 and a 60. I love them both. They can take all kinds of abuse, and they keep ice like they say that they do. I have a buddy that flipped his truck with his Yeti in the back. Totaled truck, totaled trailer, totaled lawn mower, and barely a scratch on the Yeti.Large BGE Decatur, AL

Congrats. I got a 20 and a 45 this year and love them both. The 20 is great for an everyday cooler and it gets the most use.

Great buy! I have a 45 and a 75 and have one with me at all times! May or may not have used a 105 as a coffee table/beer cooler during football games before!

I knew that you were talking about a cooler in the title. Yet, there is a part of me that was hoping you had smoked a mythical creature on your Egg.Congrats!

I can't pull the trigger. I am a lowly middle class egger. I have so many other things I want involving cooking. I can't justify paying that much to keep my beer cold... My PBR is never in there that long. I can see long hunting or fishing trips... I bought a Brute.. I sent it back. Didn't handle the Texas heat, opening and closing.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. Sweet, I've had my Roadie 20 for years and have a Tundra 65 on order. I'm going to buy a submersible sous vide element to use in the Roadie.

I have a good story, won a yeti at a raffle a couple of years ago and I traded it 10 minutes later for a large egg, I don't have a boat

Folks, check out this cooler comparison, buying the really expensive ones are not always the way to go. Some are good, some are bad - very interesting!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-TE4RnqT0ULBGE 2013 Located in Savannah, Georgia

I remember my first Yeti. I was hammered drunk and it was almost closing time at the bar..........oh wait, we are talking about something completely different. Carry on.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

I really believe they are over priced... They have the name. I'll take my $50 Igloo. Will it last forever and survive a 100 ft drop off of a cliff? No... But it'll last a long time. I don't plan on throwing my cooler off of a cliff.Aquacop said:Folks, check out this cooler comparison, buying the really expensive ones are not always the way to go. I knew what you meant. However, the first time I saw AR on this sight I thought "rifle". I guess a little bit of red-neck snuck out.Hendersonville, TN.

I have seen these coolers before. Nice but always wondered if they are worth the money. I have a Coleman 5 day that was cheap and keeps ice frozen for days. Not sure what else you would want. like others have said I don't plan on throughing it off a cliff.

Definitely a luxury item. Some folks need the best and I understand the desire. Enjoy.Dave - Austin, TX

I have a 20 and a 50. Use constantly. I am hard on coolers and Coleman/Igloos last me a year or two. About to start 3rd year with my 50 and it is still like new. I do wish I had bought 65 instead of 50 though. My buddy has 65 and 20 and it is a better combo. I have two buddies with 105 and if I ever get a large cooler that'll be the size I get. Another buddy just got a 30 (maybe 35, forget) and so far he is really happy. You will love. Will last a long long time. Follow te steps to precool and will make ice last a ton longer. I usually throw in bag night before, drain in morn and top off with fresh ice. I go out in woods 3-5 days at a time, on boat for 4-6 days at a time. Ice last longer than anyone who comes with me. Plus it is a tank that takes a beating, parts hold up, and cooler still goes on without missing a beat.EnjoyBoom

Hallfamily said:Bought a divider todayThose are great if you are using dry ice. or need to split raw meats from other foods.I also have bottle openers drilled into both my Yeti coolers. I did a survey for Yeti and I also got the Tarpoon opener for free. And my wife has bought mine for me so they have given her free Yeti Tervis Tumble in camo and a koozie.Boom

I've had my 50 for 3 years now and it's hauled a ton of fish across the Carolinas. And it's one of the only coolers on the market that let you use dry ice. I was skeptical of the cost at first but it really is a lifelong cooler and worth every penny.
