Okay just got off the phone with the company that made up the recipe cards for the last few years. I am trying to get a file with all of them from this year and will see about previous years too. Will let you know the progress.

As of right now BGE owns the rights to the recipes and has only allowed the top 4 winning recipes to be released so I am not sure if I will be able to get them all and make a .pdf file like Wise One did on the other forum for 2003 thru 2010. The company that made the cards is asking Jodi from BGE for guidance.

Did the cooks waive their intellectual property rights? I'd contact the cooks directly to ask permission unless they signed something giving BGE ownership(as long as you know who they are, obviously). I don't see how this would pass muster. How are they going to stop someone who took a picture of a cook's sign with the recipe and posted it online. Someone's rattling sabres if no non-disclosure agreement was signed.Fireman_Joe said:As of right now BGE owns the rights to the recipes and has only allowed the top 4 winning recipes to be released so I am not sure if I will be able to get them all and make a .pdf file like Wise One did on the other forum for 2003 thru 2010. Copyright law does not protect recipes that are mere listings of ingredients. Nor does it protect other mere listings of ingredients such as those found in formulas, compounds, or prescriptions. Copyright protection may, however, extend to substantial literary expression—a description, explanation, or illustration, for example—that accompanies a recipe or formula or to a combination of recipes, as in a cookbook.

here's mine, I printed some cards but they went fastStuffed Dizzy Punkin by Bogdan T. - “misu” Eggtoberfest 2013
1 Bowling ball sized pumpkin, thick flesh is better
1 large onion chopped
2 cups celery chopped
Olive oil (garlic infused)
1lb pork sausage - fattie (with sage)
4 cups (when done) pre boiled rice
Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head & Raging River
Chimayo NM Red (or some good paprika)
Salt & Pepper
Cheese cubes (Monterey Jack or something soft, mostly for looks)
Cut the top of the pumpkin and and scoop out all the seeds. Saute onion and celery in a large CI pan with olive oil, add fattie break it down into small pieces, add rice and enough water to get the rice almost soft - al dente. Add all spices and taste (when the meat is fully cooked). I used a lot of the DP rubs when it's tasty and spicy enough you're good.
Fill the pumpkin with the stuffing and cheese in layers (pack it good) and put on the egg indirect at around 400F in some small pie dish for support. It's done when soft and bubbly and the top will lift a little, pumpkin flesh should be around 200F internal. Scoop or mash and serve with sour cream. -
