SmokinTiger81 said:Thanks for the kind words from several on the pizzas. Since we were all trying to find each other, maybe next year we can set it up somehow where we all try to cook in the same section--sort of like the North Georgia guys do.

It was good meeting the several members I ran into. Its hard to do anything when cooking we were full speed ahead from 830-3 I left the canopy twice I think.
-
@lit--I had same problem with not really getting out once event started. I did go by that FSU tent before the event with my tiger paw apron and put a hex on them for next weekend's football game--LOL. I enjoy cooking so I give up some of the getting around. We do need to have a pool side gathering at M&G next year, and then try to all cook in same general area.

On behalf of all, I want to thank the cooks - The food was amazing and we all appreciate how hard you worked to make it happen. It is almost impossible to chat when you are cooking because you are working so hard. We were tired and were only eating! Had family in for the weekend and they had a ball! My hat is off to you folks and many thanks.Milton, GA.

Sorry I missed all you guys. You probably saw me crying in the corner cause I couldn't make it and was home all weekend. Sounds like fun. Maybe next year!Dunedin, FL

Enjoyed my 1st Eggtober Fest! I had some buffalo chicken pizza from a guy who didn't have a recipe card, I was AWESOME!!!! I would love to have the recipe if anyone is willing to share! I have several really great tidbits and picked up lots of new ideas to try. When we got home, we went straight to the grocery store to pick up items from a recipe cards, we will be trying new things all week. There was also a cheese dip with no recipe that was also VERY GOOD! he told cream cheese and cheddar, but not sure of measurements and if there was anything else, would love to have that one also!

@Lit - we learned our lesson the last couple of years cooking @Eggtoberfest. We had almost everything prepped ahead of time and readyo to be thrown on the egg. We still didn't get out either too much but it gave us time to socialize with our neighbors and people that came by to ask questions about egging and our recipes.
@Chris_Wang Hiawassee is one of our favorites.

I had that Buffalo Chicken, and you're right -- It was great! My husband said it was the best thing he tasted all day.
He shared the recipe with us: 1 part Frank's Red Hot Sauce, 2/3 part butter. Melt together & heat on the stove. Let it marinate a bit.
Simple, huh?
