in Appetizers
I am doing an evening for my wife and her friends and I'm looking for appetizer ideas that can be done on the egg. I've done ABTs many times but I'm wondering if anyone has any good appetizer ideas that would be good for this evening. It's gonna be 10 or 12 ladies so I don't think they are going to want overly fatty, overly spicy things (I know a few of them are pretty picky so I can say that with confidence). I figured I'd do some thin crust pizza but I'm sure that there are lots of good things I'm missing.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

What about Green Lightning Shrimp? They are easy and super-duper delicious. I don't think they are spicy, but you can always use less jalapeños or a sweet pepper instead of jalapeños if you think it might be too spicy for them.I'm Kristi ~ Live in FL ~ BGE since 2003.

Do something fancy...
Grill some romaine and top it with blue cheese chunks and thin slices of good steak.
Or do some sesame crusted seared tuna sliced thin...MSV Chill Spot

Great ideas. Keep em coming. Loving the shrimp and tuna idea, never knew you could cook watermelon rind (I've heard of pickling it but never grilling it). Already do grilled pineapple or other fruits a lot for desserts with the kids. Grilled pineapple ring covered in brown sugar and topped with vanilla ice cream is great. Or cut peaches in a cast iron pan ladled over ice cream. I want to do some desserts so maybe that will be an idea.I should mention I'm also doing asian lettuce wraps, panko fish nuggets, pulled pork sliders (doing the pork on the egg a couple days ahead and re-heating).The idea was to just keep feeding them drinks and appetizers all night (doing this since she let me go fly fishing for a week...)Mt Elgin Ontario - just a Large.

Pig shots always seem to be a hit, and not too spicy--especially with brown sugar based topping.

I do Grilled stuffed mushrooms when we have friends over. My wife loves them. Here is the link to the recipe. I add a little more cottage cheese and coat the mushrooms in some dizzy pig Tsunami Spin before I stuff them.

Just bumping this. After consulting with the hostess, we will be doing the shrimp, pulled pork sliders and some egged pizza.I'm also open to non-egg ideas as long as that's not too blasphemous.Mt Elgin Ontario - just a Large.
