OT heritage, there and now, OT
Just wondering what folk's lineage and history is...
My grandparents are "off the boat" Polish from Pittsburgh PA. The rest is lost in Irish, Cherokee, etc...
Grew up in Murfreesboro TN... And still loving it here.
Wait.. An Indian, Pollock and Irishman walk into a bar... Hey, that's me!

German, Irish & Scotch. I don't drink scotch, but will never forget the Frank & Ernest cartoon where they were sitting in an alley with bottles in paper bags. One says to the other, "...yea, Scotch is the liquid part of me."

My maternal great grandparents, whom I met just once, emigrated from Sweden, and barely spoke English. Great grandpa Peterson was a high rise steel worker during the depression.
Grandpa Peterson was the first, and only doctor for a long time, in Winslow AZ.
My paternal side were Scots (Campbells) who emigrated to Nova Scotia, married up with Scotians then ended up in the west (Colorado and Arizona). The Scotians in the picture were emigrants from Wales.
After the Campbells had a name change through marriage, grandpa Jenkins on this side was a life long railroad man on the Santa Fe, retiring as a conductor.

Mix of Irish, Scottish and German. My great-great-grandfather/grandmother actually came from Ireland and ended up getting land in Oklahoma in the land run of 1889 where my maternal grandmother was born and raised with like nine siblings. That side of the family still owns the same land and operates a hog farm today which has been in operation for over 100 years.

Polish/Czech - one of the reasons I got the Egg was to be able to smoke my own Kielbasi (yes, it ends with an "I", not an "A"__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

All American with all 4 grandparents coming over from Poland. And in the Polish rich south end of Bay City where I grew up it's Kielbasa , no "I".May be one spelling is plural.A Yahoo search does not bring up anything for the spelling with an "I". My take it must be local dialect. Some of my relatives would start out with a English word and a polish ending. Go figure. On a second note , who has a good recipe for smoked Kielbasa they would be willing to share?
