Beef jerky
Good day folks,
Tried some beef jerky this last week along with some 'coconut charcoal' and it was pretty good.
First I empty the egg
Once done, I pilled up the charcoal.
Once the eeg settle to 175, the meat went in.
2 hrs in:
After just over 4hrs, I took the jerky out:
They turn out very good but still too moist IMO. I would have left them in for another 1-2 hrs but it was getting late and I was ready for bed.
Lesson learn: Good food takes time to cook. Don't rush it!!!

Looks good!
After 2-3 hours in the egg, when the dripping has stopped and jerky has picked up smoke, I finish them in the comfort of kitchen using dehydrator.
