Errr, propane problem....
Yes, I know "propane" is a four-letter word here, but many of still have a gasser (the "Re-Heater" as I call mine now) and I do too. Yesterday I had the tank re-filled at a local place Ive used for years. The gasser worked fine besides needing a fill-up this week, but now it wont burn and there is an oily liquid eeking out when I cheated the supply line valve to see why It wont run with a newly filled tank.
Soooo...my new tank pf propane wont burn, there is no noticable pressure in the tank when I purge the line, just a bubbly, oily liquid coming out.
Any propane experts have any ideas for me?

Did the tank go on it's side? My guess is that it is the liquid gas stuck in the crappy government valve. Turn it off and let it sit. Try it again tomorrow. Open the valve slowly. Or it could be the Green Egg Gods striking you down.Southern Indiana

I agree with Letz4wheel sometimes with the stupid new tank valves you have to shut the tank off xpel the gas from the line with tank closed then close the gas on the BBQ then open the tank slooooowly their is some stupid mecanisam in the valve that prevents the flow of gas that should fix the problem if it doesn't return the gas tank and have them purge the tank and start over2 Large Eggs and a Mini 2 Pit Bulls and a Pork shoulder or butt nearby and 100% SICILIANLong Island N.Y.

Make sure the valves on your gasser are closed. Hook up the hose and slowly open the valve. Once the pressure equalizes the safety valve on the tank will pop open (I have had this take as long as 10 minutes on my weed burner) and it seems to be worse on a fresh fill of gas.

Update: the vendor's tank (which filled mine) was filled shortly before I arrived. Apparently there is an oil "trap" in the mother tanks which capture excess scenting oil, and there's was either full, or malfunctioned and filled my cylinder with a large amount of scenting oil and now its ruined. They are ordering me a new cylinder, and having their equipment repaired and cleaned. They've been very nice about it, although kind of looked at me as if I were crazy....until they spoke with their supplier (Amerigas) and they confirmed that this occasionally happens. When I'm not Eggin', I'm scootin' Eggin' and 'cueing from Temecula Ca; an hour from San Diego, an hour and five minutes from Palm Springs, and an hour and a half from Los Angeles (yeah, right.
