My first brisket!! Plenty of pics.

So I have my first brisket under my belt. Smoked with some oak wood. I was running around 275 for most of the cook trying to go hot and fast. The end product with regard to flavor was awesome. Unfortunately I think I pulled prematurely as the flat was pretty tough and not just super moist. Thankfully I had enough residual juice in the pan to make up for it. Good reviews all the way around from the family.

Feels good doesn't it! Looks good to me. I've used the Travis method which is really an open pan braise - always good. If the family like it, it was a home run.....Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
