Well we were originally going to make a couple meatball calzones, but ended up doing pizzas instead. Made some fantastic meatballs to top the pizzas.
Here's half of them waiting for the skillet to heat up.
Here's the first batch all cooked up. They didn't last long.
Here's all of them cooked up.
Sliced up on the first of 4 pies.
Bottom of the first pie. Could have been on a few minutes longer. The last 3 were perfect.
Topped with some garlic bread and great company to share with. It was a great meal.

@yzzi hasn't been on in a while. I wish he were back on. He's a Tampa Bay area egger that I would've loved to meet one day.Hope all is well with him.
He didn't give us a "Peace Out"

Hey all, this was a pretty old post, but this is the recipe. There's a couple odd-for-meatball ingredients in there (yogurt and oat) but they were absolutely fantastic, flavorful and moist. I've grown up in an Italian family so I've had plenty of meatballs. @thetrim where you at in Tampa Bay? Yeah I haven't been on for a long while. I blame that on my soon to be 3 year old who has sucked the remaining time and energy out of me
1 pound ground beef
1 pound Italian sausage
(I would have done a pound of veal if I had it)
1/2 cup of plain whole milk yogurt
1/2 cup of milk (I used whole milk)
3/4 cup oat bran
1/2 small onion chopped fine
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan
2 tablespoons garlic powder (was out of garlic)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
2 tablespoons dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon ish of freshly grated nutmeg
1 teaspoon ish of sea salt
Lots of pepper
I would have done some crushed red pepper flakes if it were just my family.
I cooked them in a skillet on the grill at 450 degrees give or take.
