I still wish it was red. That way you could beat it when you are angry with it.

I've got to rig a place setter...Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Nice score - avoid lava temps and it will last for years. What are your plans to "mount" it, table, existing nest, adding mates?Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

If you have a welder, get your hand on some 1/4 rod and make a spider for a pizza stone. If you don't have a welder, go to Harbor Freight and fork out the $80 for a cheap MIG. Get some flux core. Pick up a 20% off coupon from a flyer or magazine like popular mechanics.

I don't know that I've seen a spider... But will Google it. I have a welder that'll help me. Will any pizza stone work?Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Nice score. Plate setter should be easy. 2 pieces of aluminum flat bar crossed and clay saucer.
Whatever you do don't mount it when its hot. You'll burn your junk.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
This, but modify it so you can flip it over and use for a wok.

I have a ps and ci grid for a small but don't think it'll work.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

What's the edge to edge diameter of the stock grid? 12.5"? If so, probably a little too small to sit properly on a Small Woo.
I would bet the Woo would fit but be just a bit too large for the stock grid. Otherwise, something like this (Woo & 8.5" pizza stone) would be a good set up:
Edge to edge diameter of my Small Woo is 12.25"XL, Large, Small, Mini Eggs, Shirley Fabrication 24x36 Patio, Humphrey's Weekender, Karubecue C-60, MAK 1-Star General, Hasty Bake Gourmet, Santa Maria Grill, Webers: 14" WSM, 22.5" OTG, 22.5" Kettle Premium, WGA Charcoal, Summit S-620 NG

Being clay. Could I paint this?Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Ok... Good news is that the BGE small ci grid and ps work damn near perfect. The exterior is stained and has a small chip. The fire ring and box are cracked.
Can I jb weld the cracks and use a high temp paint for the exterior?Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN -

Probably tennessee orange. Maybe purple.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Do purple and only play Jimi Hendrix when smoking on it. Grab some Abita Purple Haze and you'll be set for life.

Jb weld will probably hold on the fire ring but not the fire box. I tried and it didn't even make it 1 time. Are you sure that is clay I have never heard of a clay grill dome.

Finally got through to the factory... It is ceramic. The manual says it is safe to 700...ill only use it for low temp cooks though.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN
