Uh oh, lid won't close flush any more...

I just replaced my fried gasket with a Nomex one. I did NOT disassemble the egg, but must have screwed something up because now in front there is a 1/8" gap between the new gasket strips, but only around the fromt 25% or so of the circumference. The Egg is no better off now than with no gasket!

How can I adjust the hinges and bands to make it close flush? It used to so it can't be that far off...

Loosen the bands and while applying some weight to the closed dome retighten.

I looked at the video, but Skiddy's trick did the job so I didn't have to get that fancy. Thanks everyone.
