Smoking a turkey breast side down?

New to the bge and am smoking my first turkey today. Of all the recipes read only one mentions smoking it dark meat up. Thoughts? And any other tips would be appreciated.

Yes, breast up, indirect about 13-15 min per pound at 325. Good luck!

Hey @rockosteel, I agree with the above, and @The Cen-Tex Smoker will never steer you wrong. I did turkeys this year and found this website to be incredibly informative. Rave reviews from the 40 or so coworkers I cooked for. It's a long read, but it does address your question.
