What kind of bricks do I need in order to raise the grid to gasket level? Where do buy them? Do I have to get them cut? ect???

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

any brick will work, fire bricks, splits, and even a red brick. the splits are hardest, less pourous, and more convenient, any place that sells woodstoves, coal stoves or masonary supplies for building fireplaces should have them

Even Home Depot has fire bricks - they can be rather fragile, but they cut easily. Some stores sell them individually.Because I have and use an air tight woodstove, I always have one or two older cracked ones lying around. @fishlessman has it right, check woodstove stores, they buy in bulk and sell one at a time.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

When you're at home depot, pick up a masonary blade for 2 bucks and make all the cuts you want. You can use the blade on your normal saw.
