Ambient temperature probe

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had a specific technique for placing their ambient temperature probe in their egg so it won't burn up.
I plan to cook a briscuit this weekend and I have a probe with a wifi readout. That way I can monitor the temperature from wherever I happen to be in the house without having to pop outside all the time.
Thanks and good cooking!

Brisket I mean, couldn't figure out how to edit my post

You're going to cook the brisket at low temp (probably 200-300F range), so if your probe burns up at that temp, it was crap or not designed for this job. Does it not have some sort of feet or clip that can be used to attach it to the cooking grid?

What kind of thermometer do you have?Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

I just got the iGrill. Right now I am hanging the ambient probe through the top vent. It seems to be working well. I am cooking at about 225 and everything is holding up well. It's been on for about 4.5 hours and the meat temp is about 165. Now I'll just let it climb slow and steady until about 200.

Also, the battery life on the iGrill seems to be pretty bad. Does anyone else have this problem?
