Suggestions needed re: gloves and cast iron skillets

So after a few cooks we are learning...
What gloves do you use while cooking? My husband got some welders gloves and they kept the heat off, but were not good for picking up a cast iron skillet... : )
Also, our cast iron skillet with the handle, just didn't fit right. What else could we look into purchasing?
I've found these - http://www.cast-iron-grate.com/grids-for-bge-and-kamados/large-eggs-primos-domes.html - any experience with them?

My fiance bought me a Big Green Egg glove, it looks like a cotton weave with little rubber grip lines on it. I was shocked at how well it works. I can grab the hot plate setter out of the egg after cooking for over an hour, as long as I don't try to hold it for a long time. I'd think that would be fine for grabbing a cast iron pan.

For removing the cooking grate i used one of the tools from the BGE site. Not sure if that would work with the cast-iron grate. But it works great for the stock cooking grate. I use a pair of heat resistant gloves with an old towel for extra protection when removing the plate setter.

ove-glove (with another used as a hot pad for real hot stuff like cast iron, hot plate setters etc.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

the bravo gloves from freds music and bbq. They're expensive but worth it. I had a pair of welding gloves I used, but after I severely burned 2 fingers pulling out a very hot stone I'll only use these. They're nice and long too, come up well over your elbow

OK, after burning a hole in 2 fingers of my long welder gloves, my wife for me a set of Weber "mittens". This weekend i got to pull out a hot plate setter, and drip pan. They worked really well for. I picked up the hot plate setter, and actually kind of stood there thinking I didn't feel the heat.
The big problem is that they are mittens, and not very dexterous.
Another problem is that they sell them as singles.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket! -
My dad was a firefighter and when he passed I found a brand new pair of the Kevlar gloves they use. Best I've had but I let them get wet and spilled stuff on them and the got really stiff. Wife just got me a pair of "Pit Mitts" and they seem really good. They are gloves and not mitts. I think she got them at Williams-Sonoma

pitt mitts are good and ove gloves are good. You get 2 ove gloves for the price of a pitt mitt.

If you're mainly concerned about picking up REALLY hot stuff & not having to worry about it, there's a few folks who have these:

They are rated to 2000 degrees!!! (but, apparently they're VERY big and make you feel sort of like you're walking around in a haz-mat suit)!!

I used an Ove glove and a Pitt mitt yesterday to take a 550 degree salt block out of my egg and sit it on the ground carefully so maybe 10 seconds holding it and felt no heat at all. I would buy the ove gloves though cause you get 2 for under $20 on ebay.

who has used them in conjunction with the WOK on a regular basis? looking for the right combo for that and then handling the PS as well.

the description is awesome:
These barrier/thermal liner glove systems are sized proportional to human hands.
as opposed to what? baby gorilla hands?

Been reading threads for good gloves. Those firefighter gloves in the photo look good.

I have welding gloves, an ove glove, and the pit mitts. They all work well but i prefer the pit mitt. They go a little further up the arm than the ove glove. Also, I like that the pit mitts are black so even if they are quite dirty it is hard to tell.
