I was drunk and dicking around when I said south dakota :-c Way to cold for me there! I'm from NC where it's going to be in the mid 70's the rest of the week. I have flown over south dakota a couple of times heading to colorodo on some ski trips beautiful country out there, love the black hills from above.

Boatbum - I usually get ribs, briskets & butts at Costco. Steaks & seafood usually from Central Market. We also get frozen salmon & halibut from Horizon Foods.

Mike8it, I am an Army brat (served as well) but my wife is from WS and my relatives are from the Vance county area.I have been coming to the coast for decades so long ago decided to settle here for "retirement" (read that as SEMI retirement).Great area and home of real vinegar based BBQ sauce!! Let's not forget fresh seafood-from my boat to the grill.

Best seafood on the planet!!! Love the local oysters this time of year, good and salty!!! A good friend of mine owns Homer Smith Seafood which is located in beaufort. These guys are the real deal, born and raised for many generations in Salter Path. If you can't make it out on your boat to catch fresh seafood give them a shout. You can watch the guys unload the boat and buy the fresh catch right there. Got a hold of some monkfish from Matt not to long ago and it was the best thing ever. Taste a lot like lobster. Enjoy the semi-retirement and thank you for everything you have done for this country!!!! God bless the military!!!!!
