Tapatalk?

Please consider activating tapatalk, a smartphone app for forums. It costs the forum nothing and is a great app that makes forum viewing much easier on an iPhone.

It's also available for android market at the Google Play Store. I don't have or currently use this app. I'm using my phone on the form 99% of the time (HTC One android market). However, I'm not seeing a huge benefit by using the app (I've only read the app description) so I'm just using the mobile view option that is available on the forum already and pics are simple to upload already thru the forum. So what is the benefit of this APP?

Another tapatalk user hear ... Yes the mobile version of egg head forum works fine ... But for those if us using tapatalk it consolidates all the forums that we are members of into one stream less app ... It really is a great app for those on more than forum

Tapawhat??? Consolidates forums?? it's all I can do to keep up with this forum. I have enough problems opening up chrome to delete the thumbnails. Not trying to rain on your tapathing, but I'm good.

Is there a way to enable tapatalk that doesn't generate the popups and try to whisk me away to the App Store Every. Single. Time?

I'm good with the way it sits right now. Minus the emoticon madness. But, I'm sure that'll be fixed. The forum is fairly simple to navigate even under a liquid inebriated state of mind.

Tapatalk wouldnt be mandatory or mess up the site as it is. It would give us Tapatalk users an option to look at the forum in a mobile app instead of using a Web browser on our mobile phone. It's one reason I don't participate much. I'd love to be able to see the forum in Tapatalk.

What is the URL for the Vanilla mobile version?  If I browse to eggheadforum.com on my Android tablet, I get sent to the same site as on my PC.  Is there a different URL for the mobile version?

It sees your tablet as a computer. Try your phone or adjust your settings to use mobile sites when available.

I can not find a setting like that on my tablet (Nexus 7). I'm using Firefox browser.  And the screen on my phone (Galaxy S3) is too small for that kind of browsing.
