Well, the girls left early to see The Nutcracker ballet at the theatre where Valeria's friend is performing



Decided it was about time to treat myself..... :laugh: & Cranked The Mini up to 600* dome, in no time really......



Still just enough time to sip my favourite brew.....



Mahi Mahi, wholemeal flour, a little butter , EVOO & the pernod to flambé





Added grated tomatoes, garlic, coarse salt & basil



The sauce was really good..................



OK.......... OK I had to include this orphan avocado I found lying in the fridge....wasn't that bad really.... :laugh:



Finished the sauce with some dipped fresh white bread.........



My living fossil Ginkgo Biloba has just completely turned colour now, ENJOY!!!!!

Beli, pretty sure I could pour that sauce into a coffee mug & drink it, looks great - beer is top choice too. I'll be off to see the Nutcracker in a couple weeks featuring littlelip, so no day off for me there, maybe some bad theatre food :ermm: :laugh:

Question about the corn. I've seen frozen corn in my local Latino grocery store that has giant kernels. It comes as either a white corn or a yellow corn. I've never tried it, but it looks like the corn on your egg. Can you tell me more about it and how it compares to the sweet corn grown in the States?
