Chilly gloomy day in Northern Illinois today but Bears looking for their first victory this season, so I decided to go with pepper stout beef sammiches smoked with hickory! Credit to Wolfepit for the recipe. But added a can of French onion soup and baby portabellas thin sliced! It turned out amazing as did the Bears game! Hope Ya'll have a great week!
Hope everyone had a great Independence Day and that we all have a great July 5th! Friday nights dinner was bacon wrapped sea scallops and prawns with sweet corn, cole slaw, Knob Creek and Coke Zero. Today I experimented with some bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers stuffed with spiced ground beef and quesadilla cheese. Turned out excellent served with beer brats on pretzel buns and grilled corn!
Started off Saturday morning with three racks of Babybacks for my buddy's 54th Birthday! Sunday was a 2 lb. Tri Tip roast marinated in EVOO, salt, pepper, garlic powder and Dizzy Pig Redeye Express Coffee Rub and stuffed Portabellas! God Bless those who gave their lives for our freedom! God also bless those who put themselves in harms way every day to keep that freedom intact!
