Rebecca, only kidding about the fireplace. It was 47 degrees here last night. COLD! That's fireplace-worthy, if you ask me, but unfortunately I don't have one.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

Deane, I suppose I'll have to start buying some lottery tickets for Nobu as well! Sure hope one of us hits the jacketpot......I can almost taste the sashimi!
-
Thanks Shane......sure hope you're feeling better! I know that when I sit by a nice fire I always seem to feel better.

I dig how you roll, Miss Rebecca.
those steaks look perrrrrrrfect -
bill, if you recall, you ate nothing but raw or almost raw seafood for a week during your recent Japanesephile binge. Perhaps the sake dulled your memory?
How did you detect it was dry aged? It was strange, I went to a grocer I seldom visit and picked out some 'dry aged' prime steaks.....just as the butcher was reaching in the case a very, very fine mist sprays from the top of the case. So much for splurging on 'dry aged' steaks. Can you believe they would put dry aged meat in that case with the mister? Or worse yet, I didn't cancel my order? Oh well, in the end they tasted great and were very tender.
As always, your caveman coffee fully complimented the dessert.
Hopefully you, JL, or I will hit the 'lottery for Nobu'! -
Thanks Dave and as I told Teresa, thanks for sharing your lovely state! I always have such incredible food in California.
