Second cook - Flank steak and Corn

Here is my second cook. I definitely learned a few things after my first cook.

I cooked the corn first at 400 for about 17 minutes, then took the corn off put it in the warming drawer, and started the flank steak at 600 for about 3.5 minutes / side.

One thing I thing I'm doing wrong is when I light it, I don't wait for all of the coals to catch fire (even though the temp is right). This is causing a lot of smoke (and then it subsides as the unlit coals catch).
