Second cook - Flank steak and Corn

Here is my second cook. I definitely learned a few things after my first cook.
I cooked the corn first at 400 for about 17 minutes, then took the corn off put it in the warming drawer, and started the flank steak at 600 for about 3.5 minutes / side.
One thing I thing I'm doing wrong is when I light it, I don't wait for all of the coals to catch fire (even though the temp is right). This is causing a lot of smoke (and then it subsides as the unlit coals catch).
Preparing the meat
That's a hot fire
Final product

Great looking cook. Patience -
Looks good,, flank is great... More pepper is always better.....

The grub looks good. You don't need to wait for all of your lump to catch, just get it to your desired temp and then let it stabilize there for a few minutes. The smoke will burn off soon enough.

Thanks all. I think maybe I'll try to tackle a pizza soon. Lots of questions though!

From the juices, it looks as if you cooked the steak just right!
