Im really wanting to try brisket , but just dont know where to start , anyone have any good links?

I would do something that would be low and slow for a long time so you can see how awesome the Stoker works
It is best if you set it up on the internet so you can easily view the cooking process.
You're going to love the Stoker -
any more ideas this morning ? i gotta go to the grocery store today and find something gooooooood

Congrats on the stoker. I love mine, even though I haven't set it up to the internet/computer.
I've used mine on a couple of butts, a couple of ribs, and recently did a brisket. For the brisket, i used the Dr. BBQ injection and some dizzy dust rub. It turned out good, but I can improve on it. I used foil to catch all the drip rather than using a pan w/ water. I'll use water in the drip pan on my next brisket cook, along with the same injection and rub.
As Thailandjohn mentioned, do a low n' slow to see how the stoker works. It took me about 5 - 10 minutes to figure it out after attaching it all together (I didn't read the manual...i'm too hard headed to do that). It's really simple once you understand how to operate the stoker and set the temps. -
I think i will cook a couple of BButts and a brisket for the heck of it . I might as well get all the probes dirty on the first run. any ideas where i can get the dr bbq injection recipe ?

It's in the article...http://www.azcentral.com/style/hfe/recipes/articles/0702bbqplank02rec.html
Makes 2 and one-fourth cups
2 cups beef broth
one-fourth cup Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
one-half teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mix well and refrigerate before injecting.
