Really glad you got through the “yuk” problem with the burn and are off to PIE LAND.
Actually, I’m thinking that we (any of us) may need extra Eggs on hand, keeping one for the low and slow and the other for HIGH TEMP. stuff.
That way, we could save lump, saving the environment too, not having to do the burn outs!! What you think? More Eggs?
BTW, I see you have been on Mini Frozen Fest threads. Molly’s Beer Bread done at the MFF was GREAT!!! No “YUK”, Great eats! -

I have my older large egg for 'smoking' a another newer large egg for 'baking', hence their names 'Smoker Egg' and 'Baker Egg'. And my cookin has improved with this arrangement.
