mwade,
When we do pulled pork overnight we have from bottom up: grid sitting on fire ring, drip pan, grid, pork. Some people will use fire bricks or plate setters (feet up)for extra mass.[p]~nikki

mwade,
I use a platesetter upside down, drip pan on plate setter, grid over drip pan and platesetter.[p]Poncho

nikkig,
Im also place a pizza stone under the drip pan for more mass. It can't hurt.[p]Mike in MN
