I forget who recently posted their attempt at duplicating a McDonald's burger.....It was an inspiration to me at the time, but I was not sure when it would unfold.
I decided..hmmmm...I've tried a Reuben Pizza, why not a Big Mac Pizza. I made one, it came out great and tasted very close to the original. After finishing the cook, I did a Google search and found out that it's not an original idea. But, try it on your Egg and you will not be disappointed.
2 all beef patties = 1LB of 75% ground beef
Special Sauce = Thousand Island Dressing
Lettuce= prepackaged cut lettuce, why go fresh
Cheese= Cabot American Slices, pulled apart
Pickles= Heinz Prem. Genuine Dill, sliced thin
Onions= pre diced, why go fresh
Sesame Seed Bun= Pizza Dough with Sesame Seeds
Prepare your wood Pizza Piel with whatever you like. Make sure it includes those Sesame Seeds for the effect.
Here's a close up.......
OK, barely cook the burger with a few onions....and mix in an unhealthy amount of salt to taste....or to match the Mickey D flavor
Here it is cooking....with steam. I saw a recent post including steam from a Prime Rib and became inspired :woohoo:
Save some grease from the burger cook....It's important.
Spread some of that grease around the edges of the crust ans sprinkle with Sesame Seeds. The rest of the grease should be spread all over the dough.
Special Sauce
Burger
Cheese.....I also added a little shredded cheddar.
On the Egg using your favorite Pizza setup. I like going high in the Dome using a rib rack.
Took the setup lower for the last minute and added onion, pickle and lettuce.
Final Product.......
Enjoy

That looks delicious. I'll try it the next time my daughter comes to visit.
-
That is inspired, man, great job! Can't even imagine what that tastes like, I'll have to try it for myself. Did you make the dough?
-
Last week I ordered a bacon cheeseburger pizza. Similar to what you have except the sauce was a ketchup/mustard blend and they used bacon.
-
Nope....The dough was a Hannaford grocery store bought ball. They do a real good job. I used to buy dough from local pizza shops up here Massachusetts, but the Hannaford dough is just as good and the price is right (about $2).

If you and your daughter are fans of the classic Big Mac taste, you'll both be very pleased!
I took some to work and a suggestion was made to add a layer of fries. We'll have to call this the "Value Meal"
I can already envision shoestring potatoe on top! -
I've had that ketchup/mustard pizza myself about 5 years ago. It was a tough sell on the family, but once they tried it they liked it.
Try the Reuben Pizza someday. I've made this several times. It's basically russian dressing, kraut and corned beef on pizza crust. This is my wife's fave. -
At first I was thinking, what a bad, bad, bad horrible idea! But as I read on and saw the pictures, I changed my mind! That looks rocking good.Knoxville, TN

swibirun,
Your'e original thought is right on. But then again, the Big Mac was never a pretty, nor heart healthy idea. It does taste so darn good though
This pizza does not belong on the Weight Loss Forum...but it does rock as you suggest
