Happy Holidays!
Batching it this PM and found a 1 pound ribeye in the freezer. Hot bathed 45 minutes in the jacuzzi, Black pepper, garlic powder and Pixie Dust for 1/2 hour.
Had small at 550F and tossed in for 1 1/2 minutes per side and then shut down BGE for 2 more minutes
Served with homemade mango chutney and sauteeded potatoes and onions.
Getting ready for a Crown Roast of Pork this Thursday. Happy Holidays to all!

The spa is 101F and the pool is 76F. Must be the vapor from the pool. Outside thermometer says 68-70F 9 pm. Still no snow!

Richard, that's a nice lookin' steak.
Hey, it's all set up....I'll be getting the whistle berries right around New Years. I'll let you know when I send a package so you can keep your eyes open for it.Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery -
Happy holidays to you too Richard.
You check your camera lens lately?? Looks like you cut the steak holding it with your hands, and wiped the fat all over the lens! When I was studying photography in college, I learned that to give your photos a soft blurry look, take your fingers and rub some of the oil off your nose, then wipe it on your lens. Just assuming that's what you did.
BTW, very nice plate!
Cheers

I always heard to use a thin coat of vaseline.
I reckon nose grease works in a pinch. -
It's scary how much grease we gots in our noses. And I think it is of a better optical quality that vaseline ;-)
