I am a newbie to this whole egging thing. But now that I have a few good cooks behind me, I am wondering, How do you clean this thing. Particularly the grates. Any info, advice appreciated.

Cal Jr,[p]Open the bottom vent take the daisy off and let'er rip. 5 -6 minutes at 700º - 800º will clean the grill up nicely. Otherwise you take it in the kitchen and listen to your spouse complain about the mess you'll make.

Cal Jr, if you do want to do the cleaning via soaking and soap then go to a hardware store and buy yourself a round replacement garbage can lid for a couple bucks. That will strattle wifey's sink preventing scratches and it provides a nice shallow and manageable container.

    Cal Jr,
Like Sundown said, fire it up to 700+ degrees and it'll clean itself. And while you've got it that high, might as well throw on a couple nice rib-eyes!
