Rick, how did you cook those tomatos?? Looking for something special to cook up for my my moms visit. They look awesome! ay lol

  • smokn gramma g,
indirect with maple chips, about 280-300 degrees for an hour. could have done them longer and put the provolone on at the end. the neighbors liked them, but something was missing... maybe panko bread crumbs

  • Rick's Tropical Delight,
Is all good, except... what are panko bread crumbs? Sorry is that a lame question?[p]I think I will do your stuffed crab tomatoes with regular bread crumbs.(i dont have a lot of choices here)[p]Gayle

    Rick's Tropical Delight,
Maybe try a cheese that's a little more "salty"... like parmesan, asiago, fontina... the "quattro fromaggio" from Trader Joe's has parm, fontina, provolone and asiago...still mild tasting, but adds great "body" to the flavor!

  • smokn gramma g,
panko bread crumbs are a light crispy topping
