Why not see how each of us rates ourselves as a Big Green Egg chef or cook or food prepairer using a scale of 1 to 10. lol[p]Chef Jerry a cool 7

Jwirlwind,[p]Was a 3 about 4 years ago. I think now. two eggs later that I might eek out a 4. I don't think anyone ever gets to a 10.
-
10 I can't help it, I am too modest
-
Jwirlwind,[p]7-8. Never met something I wanted to cook that I couldn't cook on the egg. Bread. Pizza. BBQ. Cake. Eggs. Paella. Veggies. Cheese. Gasket. Steak. I knew how to cook all that stuff before I had an egg but the egg just makes it more fun and taste better. Gets more ooo's and ahhh's from guests too.[p]Well, okay, I am still looking for a good tender calimari recipe... Got the missing shrimp and grits recipe from the Florida Eggfest recipe book.

Jwirlwind,[p]I'd rate myself a 4. [p]Only a few months into being owned by an Egg. [p]What I've cooked has been delicious. Have people asking me to cook for various occasions. But the getting there ain't always smooth. [p]Have struggled with temp control (though on my last cook, I took the advice of some of you in here, and sure was a lot smoother). [p]Also have a lot of things I want to cook that I haven't gotten to yet. [p]On a scale of how much I enjoy my egg, it'd be a 10. Absolutely love it. [p]Bubba T

Jwirlwind,
3-4 on some things... 5-7 on some and maybe an 8 on one or two things. Over all, I consider myself a 5. I think 10 is an unachievable goal for me so I just relax and enjoy what I can cook well.[p]Spring "My Own Worst Critic" Chicken

Jwirlwind,
Best dam Egger on the block. It's easy when you are the only one!
-
Jwirlwind, Take one off for not doing briskets, so 7, But the neighborhood kids think I'm 10
-
5.
There is always plenty of room for improvement, but on special occasions my wife has asked me to make "something special" on the Egg rather than asking to go out.

Jwirlwind,
12, you guys are a bunch of wimps! -RP
-
AZRP,
You must be really bored. Having exceeded perfection, what do you strive for?
Never mind, stupid question. BEER!
-
Spring Chicken,
I hear ya. I'm the same with my cooking. After watching the bbq competition shows my wife joined in with me critiquing my cooking. I told Ray at a fest I blammed him for that.[p]H

Jwirlwind,
dont think ive ever cooked anything that i didnt say that there was too much of this or too little of that, or next time im going to try this. i couldnt rate myself, but ive definatly gone up a few clicks since owning an egg. im not the greatest cook for anyone meal, but maybe jack of all cooks. years ago before the egg and the forum i would not even of attempted some of the cooks i now do. the recipes are endless

Spring Chicken,
a perfectionist never achieves perfection... the imperfect always do!
