orion11,
I am also wanting to build an BBQ workspace, may I ask what you have just to the right of the gasser?[p]
-
thebear,
That is a double gas/propane burner unit, it just has the cover in it in the pic. Far right is a separate gas cabinet behind that door for the propane, the other door has two drawers in in for supplies.

orion11,[p]Wow! That is way cool. I'm inspired...except for the gasser. blech! [p]Hey how do you keep the area where you clean the ashes from being all dirty? Jeez...mine would be a mess by now![p]Aloha,

michael,
I'm attempting to do the same thing. I need counter space and storage space. I am planning on putting in a fireplace with maybe a wood stove in it for winter warmth and a hot tub for prepping steaks and my bodely warmth. Hope to have it done by Fall.

Here are a few pics of our outdoor kitchen. Frankly, I wish we had included two eggs. Fireplace is great for those "brisk" grilling days. I know it is heresy; but we still use the gasser occasionally; as a warmer, quick burgers and hot dogs and a griddle for the gasser is great for cooking outdoor breakfasts with biscuits in the BGE. I would also reccomend a larger sink. Also note that doors under the egg for access. I also included a vent in the back of the structure so that I could keep the doors closed during cooking. Good Luck!

legaleagle,[p]Beautiful oasis!!! You quite clearly do not live in the Great White North because you'd never be able to find your Egg in a blinding snow storm and wouldn't want to run that distance in 0 degree temps!!![p]Ottawa_egger

Ottawa_egger,[p]What a beautiful setup you have... So inviting.[p]Uncle Phil

Uncle Phil,[p]Thanks, as is yous! Wish I had the pool!
-
Ottawa_egger,[p]i guess we do live in a more "moderate" climate; but we do occasionally dip below freezing thus necessary to incorporate shut off AND drain for waterlines to sink.

orion11,
I'm with Greg. How do you get the ash out of the Egg without spoiling that beautiful front opening?
-
cabdriver,
I clean it out pretty often but, I use an old shop vac and vacuum it out from the top, rather than trying to rake out the ash from the bottom. I dont see where it is anymore work, ya just have to dedicate an old vacuum for the task. Works great.

orion11,
Great idea. Why didn't I think of that.
