Big Green Egg's Folding Recreational Chair

Options
I had the good fortune to obtain a pair of BGE's new Folding Recreational Chairs at the Athens Eggfest.

(Thanks Andy)

I've never been a big fan of sling chairs because they were always too flimsy for my size and weight, but these are not only very comfortable, they will hold someone considerably larger than me (up to 350 lbs).

And they not only have the usual beverage holder pocket, they have a built-in beverage cooler where you can keep a few more on ice right at your fingertips.

Someone was doing some serious forward thinking when they came up with the 'ice chest' in the arm rest.

The next time you go looking for sling chairs to complement your Big Green Egg, look no further than your Big Green Egg Dealer and try one of these babies on for size.

Now where do I hang them in the Coop until needed?

Looks cool.  Would be better if it came with beer included.

I like them. I have an appreciation of a sturdy sling chair, having gone through several "less than durable" chairs of this type in the past. I am curious though, is there a BGE warranty with these chairs?

I'm game to try one if I ever had a chance - but my problem with sling chairs is the inherent angle or lack of lumbar support and if I sit for in one for 30 minutes it messes up my back.

That's why I always bring a firm pillow with these kinds of things.

So for a buck twenty you have a chair that will last, an armrest full of ice and beer and a place to sit your ašš down. Seems like a good deal to me.

I love Gander Mtn Guide Series rockers for camping.  Solid for a big boy.
May have to give these a look for the patio.
    How much?
Picked up my Ganders for 60 bucks on sale.

The cooler thing doesn't do much with 2 Pelicans on site.

Saw two of these priced at $59 each yesterday, if we had more baggage allowance I would have taken them back to the UK. Back home they are £95 each. SWMBO loved them. This was at Thompson's in Issaquah.

I did look at excess baggage but that took the price to what they are back home.

If it said "Yeti" on it the cost would be $400 and they would sell out.lol
And the armrest cooler would be so big the chair would tip over.  So they'd probably end up putting one in each arm rest.
RTIC would sell the same chair, but in gray for $100 less.   =)

In the end, there are some really nice folding chairs for less than $100, but if I got a pair for free...  SCORE!

    For a $30-$40 chair that's green. Cha-Ching.
