I am assuming that you have the smaller handles that are about 6inches across?
They do have replacement handles for them, call over to Roswell Hardware and see if they have the smaller handles. I know they have the larger ones....

How about a custom made handle? Alot of us around here have them. Check out this site and it will give you some ideas, mine is even pictured there. I'm not sure if Danny is still making them, but maybe someone else will chime in and point you in the right direction if you want a custom one.

The Dude: This is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.Walter Sobchak: Nihilists! *uck me. I mean, say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.Cumming, GA

Use the handles you have as a template and make some yourself. I recently did this for an older egg that I rehabbed and it was quite easy. I believe the handles are 3.5" or 4" long and about 3/4" thick. You just need to counter sink the holes for the bolts and apply liberal amounts of sealant and you'll be good to go.Formerly of Houston, TX - Now Located in Bastrop, TX
I work in the 'que business now (since 2017)
6 Eggs: (1) XL, (2) Large, (1) Small, (1) Minimax & (1) Mini - Egging since 2007
Also recently gained: (1) Gas Thing (came with the house), (1) 36" Blackstone Griddle & (1) Pitts & Spitts Pellet Smoker -
The new wooden handle for the mini/small/medium will fit the older Large Egg (just installed one).
Looks better and only ~$15 from a BGE dealer.
(and apply some polyurethane before installing) -

Or maybe I should call this an ancient egg?

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -

Yes, but not the one for the new Large Egg.
Need to get the one that's listed for new a mini/small/medium for the old large.
Just installed one for my nephew. (need to screw the new one on from the back — and I was able to do it without removing the metal handle from the band) -
