Where to eat in Franklin, TN

Well, Cool Springs is going to full of every single chain restaurant you can think of.  If you want to stay in the shuttle distance I'd go to J. Alexander's.  If you have the time, and especially if the weather is good, see if you can head to downtown Franklin.  I'd suggest either Puckett's Grocery or the Red Pony. Puckett's is a little more casual and they might have some live music too.  The Red Pony is a more upscale but has great food.

As for Murph's I haven't been there.  It used to be a place called Philip's Deli which was awesome.  If it's in the same family then it will be good.

Edit:  I forgot about 55South across the street from the Red Pony.  The same chef/owner runs both.  

Puckett's Boat House has good food, drinks and live music. I like the BBQ shrimp with chipotle cheese grits and the key lime pie.

Thanks.  I've eaten at the one in West End Nashville.  Love their Steak Frittes.  Never had a bad meal there.  Good to know there is one in Franklin.

I've had the steak frites there and you are correct. Awesome. The seared Ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes is excellent as well (my fave). The taters soak up the martinis just right.
