From Nest to an Island

After much debate on building a table or buying one, I went the Island route! Called around and was quoted $3299-$3499. Found a dealer who said the local distributor had one remaining 2015 model. $2500 out the door and its home! The difference between a 2015 and 2016 model is that the 2016 has a paper towel holder instead of a spice rack. However, the 2015 has 2 pull outs under the BGE instead of one.

Enjoy, its a quality product and makes for a great cooking and prep area. Make sure you use cutting boards to avoid cuts or scratches, and don't place heated items on the metal top. I have one of those grill mats off to the side that I place hot items on. Mine is a few years old now and still looks like new! Congrats

Nice score! Those puppies were going for about $3900 around here this is why I decided to build my own, as I truly could not justify its price.

If you could you should have left some room in the back and use the "bar" feature and maybe add a couple of stools.

I actually called the distributor here in town asking for a price. They quoted me the dealer cost before asking what store I was calling from. Dealer cost is what's insane vs the dealers sticker price. Not trying to start any arguments on cost vs MSRP, but it was surprising to say the least. I understand stores making $, etc. but wow.

I am a big fan of those tables, but have a non-nonsense cedar table that I hopefully won't need to replace for a long time. Congrats on getting such a great deal on a first-rate table.
