I've been watching the forum for about a year and joined back in August. I'd planned on my first egg being an XL but that's still a ways off. For now I've got a MiniMax to keep me company.

You may fine the MM is all you need.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -

Good choice and welcome. The MM has given us a new (every day) appreciation for how much we enjoyed the XL (on occasion). I like the fact that the MM (seemingly) doesn't run away from itself very easily with the smaller/scrrened vent opening. You can basically get away (most of the time; especially with indirect cooks) with throwing everything in there and forgetting about it with but the initial adjustments. -
