I'll bite.
Many people have several different brands of ceramic cookers and post about their experiences with them.
Am I missing something here?

I love my Joe, but I don't think it's any better or worse than a BGE. And I spend far more time amongst the BGE crowd than any other board. Both seem like very good investments to me.--Because I'm like ice, buddy. When I don't like you, you've got problems.

I'm sure baking and roasting is easy on a KJ. It's a quality product. I've been thinking of adding a Joe Jr instead of a mini max. When the Costco roadshow came through town I think they were only $300. I really should have bought one. Who cares if he likes his KJ. I like my blackstone griddle. I'm sure most people here have multiple forms of cooking.1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

If you follow him enough perhaps you'll learn how to cook too. It would appear you've already got the troll thing down patLBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I have owned a Ford, a Chevy, a GMC, a Honda, a Nissan, a Dodge,and a Kawasaki.
I cook on webers, BGE's, and would love a a KJ junior. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That's against their interests. - George Carlin -
I cook on the Joe Classic and the Joe Jr and y'all haven't run me off yet haha.
@Grillin_beers the Jr is a great little cooker for the price. I picked mine up last Friday at the Costco road show and it was $400 and they throw in a pack of firestartersAugusta, GA

Is Craig like some kind of super chef that I have never heard of or something? I have only seen him on this forum and from what I can tell he seems to put out some decent cooks, so can someone tell me...what am I missing here...why all the hate for this man?1 XXL BGE, 1 LG BGE, 2 MED. I'm not sure either. Seems to have gotten a mind of its own. Not worth the energy to figure out.
-
I only own bge, but I have 4 bags of KJ lump in my shed. .their lump is far superior to bge lump.
-
I'm with you @badinfluence he puts out some decent looking stuff. In addition I emailed @Big_Green_Craig a few questions and he took the time to thoughtfully respond. I don't know any of you personally, but many of you seem to hate this guy for what ever reason. As I've said before if you want to make a difference in the world reach out and help those around you. Ultimately I want my wife and daughter to be proud of the man I am, not because of what I've done for me, but for those around me. This community works because many of you share tips and tricks with new people such as myself. People like @henapple, @NPHuskerFL, @cazz @SGH and the list could go on and on. I try to comment and help when I can but mostly I'm here to learn. Let's all try to play nice in the sandbox.XL BGE, KJ classic, Joe Jr, UDS x2

The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out. -
