Lid issue tonight.

Fired up the LBE to cook some burgers. Went to close the lid when finished. Noticed seems lid had shifted to the right and back towards the hinge. Figured I would wait until it has cooled to see what is wrong. Any ideas.

Do a google search on BGE dome alignment... there's lots of info out there.

    Here is one http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1134217/dome-alignment

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.

My guess is your lower band is loose and slid down your base pulling the lid back.  This is what happened to me.  I was actually able to slide my lower band back up into place and my lid lined back up....that was when I realized the effect of the lower band.  I then just tightened the bolt and all was good.

I recommend that you loosen both bands and then go through the realignment process.  Make sure once you are aligned, you get your bolts tightened good.  Then check again when the Egg is warm.  Again, in my case, the only way I found to get them tight enough to where the lower band didn't slip under hear, was to tighten when my Egg was warm.  Others have not had to do this so you may not want to start here.  In my case, I was using Grade 2 carriage bolts and I suspect that could have contributed to my issue.  I have since switched to Grade 5 and have not had an alignment issue.   Hope this helps.
