Pit Pal and Stoker

Used the stoker a couple of times, first brisket, second Boston butt, worked like a charm, flawless . Wi Fi and remote works fine. I have the PitPal Pro version app...only seems to take me to the stoker console....what is the trick to reading and logging on PitPal, is it simply just naming the probes the same on PitPal and stoker console? Pit pal sees stoker no problem so it's not connectivity ?...can't seem to find any instructions

I had similar experience with the Pit Pal app, so I gave up on it. I now use the Stokemaster app and have found that it's much easier to use.

Another question, if I rename my probes on the stoker web console will it show up that way on the stoker display, or do they have to be renamed on the stoker

I have 2 Stokers, 1 old school Whitebox and 1 of the older Wifi ones. I have used them on both my XL and Small Eggs.

Renaming them will update both places. Think of the Wifi access as just a link to the database that runs the Stoker. One thing to keep in mind is the number of characters the LCD on the Stoker is limited, so the entire name you assign may not show up.

I'm having issues with pit pal too, but haven't messed with it too much. I'm on iOS.

I have it loaded on Android and iPad , thinking it's just making sure probe names match perfectly. Pit Pal connects no problem just can't seem to get it to log

Definitely need to type the probe names in pit pal yo match how you did it on the stoker. Then make sure to use cloud server and enter your outside IP address. Then it will log the whole show!
