I bookmarked Clay's post last year and I tried his paste rub for the first time yesterday.  I increased the salt to 1 teaspoon just because I wanted more salt and added a teaspoon of turbinado sugar.  The paste was very simple to make and was as good as advertised by Clay.  No pictures, but I used the paste on BLSL chicken breast and BLSL thighs.  Here's a link to Clay's thread and a screen shot as well.  Thanks Clay!

I grilled skinless chicken, but the rub made a nice bark. It had a nice bbq flavor.  I'm gonna try it on a spatchcock chicken next weekend.

Glad you liked it!! But who's Clay? :)

    Michael

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I'm sorry Michael.  Even though your name is on your threads, I was still able to screw it up.  I guess I had Clay on my mind.

I assumed Clay and Carolina were brothers.  I will definitely try this yardbird.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
