Or is it cottage?
Used 1lb of ground beef and 1lb of sausage with beef stock, carrots, onions & peas. My wife mixed everything up, I just egged it.
Our neighbor's are expecting their 4th child, due in 7 weeks or so, and she is not handling this one well at all. One pan was for them.
Yes, those are pats of butter on the potatoes
Pulled them off when they were bubbly and starting to brown, about 45 minutes or so at around 375*.
My wife took the neighbor's over and I decided I wanted more brown on ours, so I put it back on and opened the vents. Got things nice and hot for a bit and this came back out.
Here's what was left of ours
Really good, and great food for this weather, which I am completely sick of and it can warm up anytime now...

man, it's been cold and drizzly for about four days straight here, I'm looking out the window and this pops up. I think I could eat half a pan of that comforting goodness right there. excellent job - love taking care of the neighbors as well - always a nice thing to do

Doesn't really matter on the name, unless you want to be really pedantic. If so, cottage = beef and Shepherd = lamb/mutton. It's more of a recent change whereas it has been interchangeable for a long time.

Whatever name that it goes by, it looks awesome!! I could probably eat the whole pan if it's as good as it looks.
