Well, not really..... I really do eat about that much when slicing.
I love fennel as well. It is fantastic sliced thin, drizzled with EVOO, and seasoned with salt and pepper. Cover and let sit for about 2-3 hours in a shallow bowl stirring just 2 or 3 times. It is also great if you want to add some blood oranges to the salad for color. If you do that, add them only about 10-15 mins before serving.
